Superintendent Kelli Bush: How EIS will open for the 2020-21 school year back to school
Annual Update for ALL EIS families

Please be aware that ALL families in the EIS system need to complete the annual update, including families that turned in paper registration packets earlier this summer.   The annual update is an opportunity to make sure all information is accurate in Infinite Campus and the update will also include the completion of several of the yearly forms.

Make A Donation to Purchase Chromebooks EEF Logo

Virtual learning is a reality for Elizabethtown Independent School (EIS)’s 2,400+ students; however, access to adequate technology remains an issue. Ideally, EIS would be 1:1 – meaning each student in the district has an assigned Chromebook for day-to-day learning, assessments and communication.

A 1:1 district is even more important as we face educating our students in the midst of a pandemic. Elizabethtown Education Foundation (EEF), in conjunction with local non-profit organization, Give 270, will be raising funds to purchase the 150+ outstanding Chromebooks for EIS students.

Please consider supporting EIS students and their learning by making a tax-deductible donation below, you will support Elizabethtown Education Foundation and help purchase Chromebooks for Elizabethtown Independent School (EIS) students.

How you can help?

  • Donate at give270.org/chromebooks if you are able.
  • Forward this email to friends and family. Share the video about the effort. Tell everyone you know.
  • Encourage and thank an EIS teacher, administrator and staff member as they embark on the new school year.

Michele Deon was honored and awarded the WHAS11/LG&E-KU 2019-2020 ExCEL Award on February 19, 2020.  Several dignitaries applauded her dedication and commitment to all students and her belief in their futures beyond EHS.  She and her husband selflessly donated $250 to each of the other nominated ExCEL teachers so they too can purchase instructional materials for their classrooms.  WHAS11/LG&E-KU donated $1000.00 to Mrs. Deon for her classroom needs. Congratulations Mrs. Deon for earning the title, ExCEL Teacher of the Year, 2019-2020.
